FAQs

What are the early signs of dementia?

Early signs can include memory loss, difficulty concentrating, confusion about time or place, struggling with familiar tasks, language difficulties and changes in mood. These symptoms are often mild at first.

If you’re noticing these changes, it’s important to seek advice rather than waiting. Speaking to a GP is a good first step, as they can help rule out other possible causes and guide you towards the right support.

Early support can make a real difference. Approaches such as Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) are designed to help people stay mentally active, maintain confidence and remain socially connected.

If you’re unsure what to do next, we can also talk things through and help you understand your options.
