We always put the individual first, while bringing isolated people into the heart of their community.

Our Ness Mission

We are committed to providing high-quality dementia care and dementia support services to families and individuals. We offer specialist dementia therapy, activities and opportunities for social inclusion, while sharing the responsibility of care with families and existing caregivers.

Our co-founder, Jonathan Hanbury, has built on 20 years of nursing and elderly care experience to launch an innovative model for dementia treatment in Devon. He passionately believes that through therapeutic intervention we can not only improve individuals quality of life but slow the rate of cognitive deterioration.

How we use research to beat dementia

Dementia is not a normal part of ageing but a degenerative disease that families and professionals can work together to beat. The Ness Care Group believe in using the latest research to treat this illness, whether that is using research-based Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) or working with professionals to test and research other therapies believed to improve memory and increase wellNESS.

The sooner families can join the Ness dementia day care centre the more of an impact our research led treatment has with the individual. There is a way to beat this!
