What is The Ness Shed?
The Ness Shed is open to anyone with varying degrees of dementia or those who are lonely and isolated within the community. It is a versatile space that has multiple uses by design, which allows our members to participate in activities that resonate most with their own backgrounds or interests.

Activities
We are currently running pottery and woodwork classes at The Ness Shed, these sessions are 1.5 – 2 hours long and allow members to develop social skills as well as take part in a manual activity, which is likely something different to their usual day-to-day tasks.
Pottery has huge proven benefits for people living with dementia, it’s calming, stimulating and can bring back memories due to the creative aspect of the task. How much does a Ness Shed session cost?
The cost for a class is currently £20 per person, this covers the cost of a professional potter, all tools, and the support staff. You can also join as a member of The Ness Shed from as little £20 per person. We also offer a free trial session, to learn more please contact us. How do I book a session?
We are running our pottery classes weekly and can potentially add further sessions if the demand is high. You can also book a sole-use session if you have a group of 4-6, this has been a popular choice for local dementia care homes.
