Eight Years of Impact: A Celebration of Connection and Care

Since opening our doors in 2017, The Ness Care Group has become a beacon of hope and innovation for people living with dementia, their families and the professionals who support them. What began as one small centre in Teignmouth has grown into a network of specialist memory hubs across Devon — places where compassion meets clinical expertise, and where every individual is treated with dignity, respect and understanding.

Over the past eight years, our team has worked tirelessly to reimagine what dementia care can look like in the community. From evidence-based therapies that help maintain cognitive function, to social programmes that foster joy, connection and inclusion, The Ness has continued to lead the way in delivering holistic and person-centred support.

Building a Movement, Not Just a Service

Our growth has been powered by collaboration — with the NHS, universities, carers and families — and inspired by those we serve. Together, we’ve developed new models of psychosocial therapy, expanded access to training and education across the UK and Europe, and built safe, welcoming environments where carers can find rest and renewal.

This progress is a reflection of a shared belief: that dementia care should not only preserve memory, but also nurture identity, community and purpose.

Looking Ahead

As we mark this eight-year milestone, we do so with immense gratitude — to every staff member, volunteer, partner and family who has been part of our journey. This Celebration Report tells the story of transformation through real lives and lasting impact.

Our mission remains as clear today as it was in 2017: to bring expert treatment, connection and joy to everyone affected by dementia, wherever they are.

Here’s to the next chapter — one of continued innovation, deeper compassion and ever-widening reach.
