Memory health & well-Ness classes
At The Ness we recognise the crucial importance of staying active, staying social and always learning. These classes are meant to help all those who may struggle to leave the house, who are at risk of isolation or want to keep their minds sharp!
Our weekly, fun 90-minute classes are on topics like gardening, creative arts, music & exercise, wood work in our shed and singing & music appreciation.
They are designed for those who might be isolated, frail or worried about their memory. Come and join us at our Health & well-NESS Hub in Exmouth.
Types of classes we run
Below is a little more detail on what to expect at The Ness Workshops in Exmouth.
Designed for those who may be frail or less mobile, this class aims to keep our bodies healthy through gentle exercise. We will do both seated & standing exercises that strengthen our core muscles and gentle stretches to improve mobility or reduce pain.
Designed for everyone and anyone who would like to get creative. We will share skills, peer support and have fun through creativity. The class will use all types of creative medium from pens, to paint and mosaics
Fun cookery classes that allow participants to take something home to eat with friends or family. Coming together for a social natter while we create and cook in our kitchen.
Join us and get out into our garden and the surrounding countryside. This class is all about enjoying the garden, learning about growing both vegetables and flowers. Practicing together and creating our own garden and with The Ness minibus getting out into the surrounding countryside to admire other gardens.
Our shed is filled with wood and odds and ends that with the right imagination could become a table, chair or bird box. Come and join us for some tinkering and designing in our warm and cosy Ness Shed.
